About Semi Vietnam

A small independent sourcing operation in Ho Chi Minh City that connects semiconductor part buyers with machine shops in Vietnam.

What this is

Buyers send one RFQ for semiconductor parts, jigs or fixtures. We read the drawing, work out which shops in Vietnam have the machines, finishing partners and paperwork the part needs and pass it to at most 3 of them. Those shops quote you directly. The order, the price and the terms are between you and the shop.

How it earns money

Shops pay for matched requests. Buyers pay nothing, at any stage. We take no commission on the order and we do not mark up a shop's price, because the order never passes through us. That is the whole model, stated up front so nobody has to guess what our interest is.

What this is not

• Not a machine shop. We own no machines, no cleanroom and no finishing line.
• Not a factory's marketing site under a neutral name. No partner shop is named here, in either direction.
• Not a bidding platform. Your drawing is not published to a pool of anonymous bidders.
• Not a trading company. We do not buy your part and resell it.

Why a party with no factory is useful

A shop with one set of machines has to answer yes. We do not. We can tell you that a part needs a finishing partner nobody in the country runs to that spec yet, or that a shop good at frames will struggle with a gas manifold and nothing about saying so costs us an order. That is the only real advantage this site has, so we protect it: every guide here is written to be useful even to a buyer who never sends us anything.

What we are still building

This site is new. There are no case studies yet, no client list and no certifications and we would rather say that than borrow someone else's. What exists is the guide library, the matching process described in full on how we match and the standards we hold the writing to on editorial standards.
